ThreeRays Organizes Hands-on Training on High-Precision Radiation Dosimetry in France

From June 29 to July 3, 2026, ThreeRays (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. organized a cross-border special technical training program, which delivered systematic training on high-precision radiation dosimetry and full-process IQ/OQ/PQ process validation for high-energy electron beams and X-rays at Aerial in France. Four participants from ThreeRays, including General Manager Peng Wei, and CTO Zuo Duwen, together with two staff members from Greenpia of South Korea, attended the entire training session.
Hosted by Aerial France, the training was coordinated and implemented by ThreeRays. Targeting core technical challenges in the high-energy irradiation industry, the training formed a complete learning loop covering theoretical foundations, on-site practical operation, dosimeter calibration, process validation and industrial application. The curriculum included fundamentals of radiation physics, primary/reference/routine three-tier dosimetry systems, dosimeter calibration and dose uncertainty evaluation. Participants toured benchmark irradiation equipment including the 10 MeV high-energy electron beam system and 5/7 MeV dual-energy X-ray system, as well as a professional dosimetry laboratory. Hands-on sessions were arranged for dosimeter placement and readout, calibration curve plotting, product dose mapping, beam performance testing and full-set IQ/OQ/PQ validation exercises. Official training certificates were issued by Aerial upon completion of the program.

Aerial is a Collaborating Centre of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), with nearly 40 years of experience in radiation processing and dosimetry research, and also a France’s officially designated reference laboratory for high-dose measurement. Trainees systematically learned internationally recognized dosimetry methods, including alanine dosimetry systems, optical dosimetry systems and CTA rapid dose measurement systems. Aligning with globally recognized compliance standards such as ISO, ASTM and FDA 21 CFR, participants mastered the full set of validation technologies for installation qualification, operational qualification and performance qualification of high-energy electron beam and X-ray irradiation equipment. The program greatly boosted the team’s core technical capabilities in high-precision dose testing, irradiation process compliance validation and sterilization quality control, laying a solid technical foundation for the company to develop integrated turnkey solutions for internationally competitive dose testing and irradiation process validation.

Building on this in-depth cooperation, ThreeRays will jointly establish a high-standard, high-precision dosimetry laboratory with Aerial, providing efficient and accurate dose testing services as well as comprehensive IQ/OQ/PQ process validation technical support for customers in China and across Asia.
Taking this international exchange opportunity through the special training at Aerial France, ThreeRays will keep benchmarking cutting-edge global technical standards and quality management systems for irradiation, deepen technical cooperation with authoritative international research institutions and leading overseas irradiation enterprises, and continuously upgrade irradiation conveyor systems, dose testing equipment and full-set process validation services tailored to the Asian market to strengthen its comprehensive full-chain supporting capacity. Guided by its global development strategy, the company will keep exporting standardized complete irradiation solutions to support the implementation of irradiation sterilization, polymer modification and food irradiation projects in developing countries. Meanwhile, ThreeRays will collaborate with industry partners worldwide to build an international quality control ecosystem for irradiation, and jointly advance high-quality and sustainable development of the global radiation processing industry.
